2016 concluded with a successful event at Rockingham this weekend. And I’d like to take this opportunity to pass on some thanks and statistics.
A huge thank you to all the competitors and supporters this year, this wouldn’t run without your continued support and entries.
This year we have:
- fielded no fewer than 28 current Servicemen on our grids
- of those 28 competitors 11 were carrying novice crosses
- hosted an official Armed Forces Day event which attracted around 70 additional Service visitors to the event free of charge
- raised over £200 for the AFRC chosen charity for 2016 – SSAFA
The successful delivery of AFRC is a very labourious but rewarding job; however it would not be possible without the support from the following:
750 Motor Club
Racetothefinish F1 Memorabilia
Bowmoor Consulting
Countrywide Grounds Maintenance – Sheffield
Podium Preparation
We will continue to build on what we have and we hope that with your continued support and more development work AFRC in 2017 will deliver close and competitive racing predominantly to Servicemen/women, veterans and our invited guests for excellent value for money.
The Service competitors from AFRC will consolidate what they’ve learnt in 2016 and race in the inaugural Inter-Services motor race at Silverstone during the Holly Birkett 6Hr race, we will welcome your support.
Here’s to a good winter – keep your eyes on social media and this website for upcoming news and events!
